The series title Sparrow Wars in the Garden of Bliss reflects how easily one can become a warrior, forgetting peaceful ways. The sparrows embody innocence and live in harmony, while the Ravens and Crows depict Greed and War, wreaking havoc, and destruction. Disputes fueled by deception, envy, and greed can escalate quickly, evolving from minor disagreements into breaking of relationships, enmity, and global conflicts.
The title also suggests how easily we might ruin our idyllic lives, (the Garden of Bliss). Comparing our ancient myths, legends, and religions wherein the ‘First Man and First Woman’ beguiled to sin, ruined the perfect world created for them.
So, it is with the La Barre family’s Phoenix curse set upon their third sons.
All may succeed in creative and fabulous ways or by their sins fail and combust.
Vanity, Avarice, Lust, Thievery, and Deceit torment these special sons. But beware their actions and consequences can last generations.
